What is a coloring system:

A “visual” color definition system created based on eight basic colors with defined hues: Blue, turquoise, green, yellowish green, yellow, orange, red, reddish purple, purple, bluish purple.

Each of these basic colors can be diluted with a pigment-free varnish to reduce their saturation; they can also be contaminated by mixing with black. In the color system, a color that is yellowish green and contaminated with black is said to be saturated to that extent.
