ErichHahn HPDU-90/4 Capacity Pumping Station
The ErichHahn HPDU is designed for continuous pumping of heavy oil at process temperatures not exceeding 200°C and viscosities between 20 and 1000 cSt.
ErichHahn HPDU Advantages
Many different ErichHahn HPDU models are available. Their designs and components are similar but differ in capacity, overall dimensions and components.
Intended Use
Unit; It consists of a distributor with 3 or 4 outlets, gear pump, gear motor, heavy oil filter, control panel, oil heating system and thermal insulation. All equipment is compactly mounted on a frame.
3 or 4 Outlet Distributor
It distributes oil product streams to three or four outlets, depending on the design of the unit.
The Automated Process Control System (APCS) remotely controls flow using electric actuated butterfly valves.
Gear Pump
Internal gear rotary pump is designed for pumping heavy oil.
The pump provides an uninterrupted flow to reduce the vibration level and foaming of the pumped oil.
The pump has an integrated safety valve for protection against overpressure.
Heavy Oil Filter
The filter is designed to remove mechanical impurities in the pumped product. Process temperature does not exceed 200°C.
The filter consists of a filter body, removable cover and a filter element.
Control Panel
The operation panel of the control panel contains controls and indicators for the operation of the unit.
The control board is connected to the central control board for communication with the frequency converter.
It can be used to control electric actuated gate valves, start the pump and adjust speed settings.
The basic operating parameters of the pump, the status of the gate valves, the presence of mains power and the standby mode are provided as indications.
Automation
The automation system of the HPDU units uses remote I/O stations and is located in a heated and ventilated control cabinet (which can be equipped with a PLC processor module if necessary).
A frequency converter is used to control the motor. Remote control is achieved via a SCADA system or Profinet I/O (Modbus TCP/RTU if necessary) protocol.
Additionally, it can be done directly from the control board in local mode.
Heating and Insulation
The pump and filter are heated by a thermal oil heating system.
All units are lined with high-density thermal wool insulation and removable protective coverings.
HPDU Gear Motor
The manufacturer’s gear motor is designed to transmit and convert the rotary motion into the gear pump by means of a flexible coupling.
The frequency converter in the power equipment cabinet is designed to start the pump unit and change its performance.
