140 m³/h Desanders Particle Mud Sieve

Desanders are used to separate sand and other particles from drilling muds. During drilling and excavation processes, drilling mud (bentonite) gets mixed with contaminants such as sand and clay. Once the drilling process is complete, the mud should be processed and cleaned to separate these contaminants, allowing the clean mud to be reused for the next process and the drilling mud to be ready for concreting.

The initial process takes place on a steel plate sieve where 4 mm materials are separated. The second process involves pumping the mud into a hydrocyclone where 50-micron particles are separated.

SKC Makina produces three types of sand separators named SKD2200, SKD4400, and SKD840 according to their capacities.
Additionally, SKC Makina also manufactures double-cyclone sand separators called SKD 4400D with desilter. The first cycloning is the same as the first and second process of the desander. Here, 50-micron particles are separated. The mud is then pumped into small hydrocyclones for the second cycloning. Following this process, the separation will be 20-30 microns.
