Description

140 m³/h (Desanders+Desilter) Two-Stage Particle Mud Sieve

Desanders are used to separate sand and other particles from drilling mud. During drilling and excavation operations, drilling mud (bentonite) mixes with pollutants like sand and clay. Once the drilling process is completed, the drilling mud should be processed and cleaned by separating these substances. This way, clean mud can be used for the next operation and the drilling mud becomes ready for concreting.

The first process takes place on a steel plate sieve where 8 mm particles are separated. The second process occurs by pumping the mud into the hydrocyclone. Here, 50-micron particles are separated.

SKC Machinery produces three types of sand separators named SKD2200, SKD4400, and SKD840 according to their capacities.
SKC Machinery also produces dual cyclone sand separators called SKD 4400D as desilter sand separators. The first cycloning is the same as the first and second processes of desander. In this process, 50-micron particles are separated. The mud is then pumped to small hydrocyclones for the second cycloning. After this process, the separation will be 20-30 microns.
