Description

180 m³/h Desanding Particle Mud Sieve

Desanders are used to separate sand and other particles from drilling muds. During drilling and excavation operations, the drilling mud (bentonite) gets mixed with pollutants such as sand and clay. Once the drilling process is completed, the mud should be processed and cleaned to separate these substances from the mixture. This way, clean mud can be used for the next operation and the drilling mud is prepared for concreting.

The initial process takes place on a steel plate sieve where 4 mm particles are separated. The second process involves pumping the mud into the hydrocyclone. Here, 50-micron particles are separated.

SKC Makina produces three types of sand separators named SKD2200, SKD4400, and SKD840 according to their capacities.
SKC Makina also manufactures double cyclone sand separators called SKD 4400D, known as desiltered sand separators. The first cycloning is similar to the first and second processes of the desander. In this process, 50-micron particles are separated. The mud is then pumped into small hydrocyclones for the second cycloning. After this process, the separation will be 20-30 microns.
