The Türkay Corn Silage Machine operates directly from the tractor’s power take-off, working economically without straining the tractor with low power and fuel consumption, and has been functioning smoothly for many years. It is made of special steel material with a high degree of hardness, has durable cutting discs with an automatic sharpening unit, and a reversible and adjustable chopping plate that provides high-quality cutting even at the highest working speed, thus preserving the plant nutrients and water content within the plant.

To ensure the complete chopping of dry corn kernels, a chopping plate can be placed inside the cutting mechanism. The silage length is determined with the help of a chopping plate that can be adjusted with a bolt. Thanks to the powerful fan and the blower blades on the fan, the material that has been divided into small pieces is blown into the discharge chute quickly. The discharge chute can be directed remotely without tiring the user. Optionally, the chute can be extended. With its foldable chute, it can easily pass through even the lowest areas. The machine components are protected by a safety system that cuts the pin against overload.

When calculating the hourly work efficiency (capacity) of the machine, the forward speed is determined as the optimum values accepted for silage harvesting, which are 7-9 km/h, and the product yield per decare is considered to be an average of 8-10 tons/da. Many factors, such as field conditions and the number of plants per decare, can change the average values taken for the machine’s forward speed and silage corn product yield, so it is taken into account that the calculated work efficiency (capacity) may vary.
