250 m³/h Desanders Particle Mud Sieve
Desanders are used to separate sand and other particles from drilling muds. During drilling and excavation processes, drilling mud (bentonite) mixes with contaminants such as sand and clay. Once the drilling process is complete, the mud needs to be processed and cleaned by separating these materials from the mixture. This way, clean mud can be reused for the next process and the drilling mud becomes ready for cementing.
The first process takes place on a steel plate sieve where 4 mm materials are separated. The second process occurs by pumping the mud into a hydrocyclone where 50 micron particles are separated.
SKC Machine manufactures three types of sand separators named SKD2200, SKD4400, and SKD840 based on their capacities.
SKC Machine also produces double cyclone sand separators called SKD 4400D with desilter. The first cycloning is the same as the first and second process of the desander. In this process, 50 micron particles are separated. The mud is then pumped to small hydrocyclones for the second cycloning. After this process, the separation will be 20-30 microns.
