Description

3 Pitch Webb Conveyor

BYM 3” These systems are named with this name because the chain pitches are close to 3”. Trolleys mounted on the chain can move on NPI 80-100 profiles. The unit load carrying capacity of the trolleys is 140 Kg, and the breaking strength of the chain is 11000 Kg. Since trolleys can only be connected to the middle links of the chains, their distances can be determined as 6” and its multiples. Webb type suspended conveyors, which are frequently used in various industries that require heavy duty and do not require sensitive transportation, hold an important place in today’s technology. They are preferred conveyor systems due to their simple structure and low maintenance, as well as their durability. It works on the principle that trolleys mounted on chains moved by the drive unit carry the suspended loads by moving on NPI profiles. Due to their structure, chains are suitable for vertical movements on the z axis as well as horizontal movements on the x and y axes. Horizontal turns are produced in different sizes and angles in pulley and roller types, and vertical turns are produced in varying diameters and angles depending on trolley distances. In BYM3 Systems, chains consist of 3 parts called side link, middle link and pin, which are manufactured from high carbon steel by hot forging method. Since the chain links are connected to each other without rivets, It is very easy to assemble and disassemble. Trolleys consist of two symmetrical bodies, between which carrier bars are connected and bearings are mounted on them. The bearings are special type conveyor bearings that can operate at 200 ºC. The bodies are manufactured from high carbon steel by hot forging. Trolley bearings are lubricated through grease fittings located on the bodies. Drive units are divided into two main groups: caterpillars that provide movement on a straight rail, or angular type mounted on a return rail. Caterpillar type drive groups have fixed and floating construction alternatives with different powers. Similarly, angled drive groups have different types and powers, fixed and tensioned, on 90º and 180º rotations.
