Bentonite and Injection Plant Desander

 

Particle screens (desanders) are used to screen sand and other particles from the bentonite water mixture in the borehole. During drilling, the water and bentonite in the borehole mix with factors such as sand and clay, and these factors need to be screened out from the mixture before pouring concrete after drilling.

 

This screening process ensures a clean and fresh mixture for the next drilling and reduces the desired sand and clay ratio for concreting to the desired levels. The mixture in the borehole for the Particle Screen (desander) is first sent to the coarse screen, where particles of 8mm and larger are screened. Then, the accumulated mixture in the tank chamber is pumped to the hydrocyclone, where screening is done down to 50 microns.
