The bitumen terminal enables the filling of bitumen from tankers with the ATU-3.01 automatic unloading station. This system performs the functions of simultaneously unloading viscous and solidified liquids from three tankers, pumping between reservoirs, and transferring the product to the depot or consumer. The product is discharged under pressure and leak-proof through a quick-connect metal hose. Tankers can be unloaded independently at the same time thanks to the pump units in each section.

The automatic management system records the technical data of the unloading process, such as the product’s temperature, mass flow, and process time, and archives this data.

The terminal also provides top filling for two tankers simultaneously with the MTL-2.01 automatic loading station. The product transported via the pipeline system from the reservoir park is filled through the top cover of the tanker. The filling stops automatically when the specified product weight is reached.

The bitumen terminal includes the THU-1200.01 heating block to heat the heat carrier. Thermal oil is used as the heat carrier. This block contains a boiler, pump equipment, and necessary control devices. The heat carrier maintains the fluidity of bitumen at low temperatures, enabling the heating of reservoirs and tankers. The system has a closed-loop heating mechanism. The thermal oil is heated up to the target temperature in the boiler. The burner in the boiler can use diesel, fuel oil, gas, or be multi-fuel.

The management of the terminal is carried out through a control center equipped with an operator control panel located at the ATU-3.01 unloading station. The terminal allows material tracking with flow meters at the FMU-4 distribution unit for unloading and loading bitumen.

Two HPS-55 units are used for the transport of viscous liquids. These units are based on a gear pump principle and operated with a motor-reducer. The unit is equipped with an input filter, oil heating, and heat insulation systems for viscous petroleum products. The equipment is mounted on a compact frame base. The transportation of liquids between reservoirs and unloading/loading stations is done via four pipe line bridges.

Tankers pass through a "Checkpoint" located at the terminal entrance, which facilitates maneuvering and turning.

As part of the BMT-20000 bitumen terminal, there is a laboratory building for timely analysis of the physical and chemical properties of stored and transported bitumen
