Description

Almet Makina Liquid Heat Exchanger

The main function of these elements is to ensure that heat transfer from one fluid to another occurs smoothly. Heat transfer can be achieved directly or indirectly between these fluids, which are classified as hot and cold fluids.

Although heat exchangers vary in type, almost all heat exchangers are based on the same operating principles. The heat of the liquid with high temperature is first collected in the area called the heat transfer surface. The collected heat is then transferred to the secondary fluid contacting the other surface of the plate. Thanks to this cycle, while one of the liquids gains heat, that is, its temperature value increases, the other liquid loses heat, that is, cools. Heat transfer within the exchangers is possible in 3 different ways. Heat transfer types can be listed as follows;

Conduction
Convection (Transport)
Radiation

What is the use of heat exchanger?
Within the heat exchanger or exchanger, fluids that should not come into contact with each other are separated by a solid wall. By means of gaskets, which are one of the important components of the heat exchanger, the liquids that come into contact with two different sides of the surface where heat conduction is carried out are prevented from mixing with each other. However, depending on the need, it is possible to bring fluids into contact in some special types of exchangers.
