Basket Grates are generally used in the deep inlet structures or pumping stations of low-capacity water and wastewater facilities. They are widely used due to their simple operating principle and ease of operation.

Operating principle: The Basket Grate is lowered in front of the pipe where the water or wastewater comes in, allowing the water to flow while leaving the waste inside the basket. When the basket is full, it is lifted up manually or with an electric winch. During the upward movement of the basket, a secondary bar grate drops down, blocking the front of the pipe and preventing waste from entering the facility. Thanks to the guide frame, at the end of the upward movement, the basket tips over a container and is emptied.
