The Multi-Disc Screw Press (MDS) is a new solid-liquid separation equipment used for sludge thickening and dewatering. The sludge is gradually thickened and dewatered by the movement of the screw shaft, and the dewatering is completed with the discharge adjustment plate. The solid content of the dewatered sludge reaches between 15% and 20%.

Operating principle: The screw press for water removal is designed according to the principle of superposition compression, primarily providing solid-liquid separation by applying pressure to the material through the cooperation of the feeding box, spiral, screen template, and tail cone.

The material to be processed is smoothly transported to the inlet of the water removal screw press equipment via a pump or spiral conveyor, filtered with the spiral blade and screen, and then the liquid part is collected in a liquid tray under the machine by passing through the screen.

The pressed solid materials are then pushed to the storage place by the screw.
