Winkel Rust Converter and Metal Surface Protective Primer 1 Liter

WINKEL Rust Converter is a high-performance coating that works effectively on rusty steel surfaces, penetrates the surface, stabilizes iron oxides, and forms a non-water-soluble metal-organic layer.

• Penetrates deeply into rusty steel surfaces.
• Neutralizes iron oxides and transforms them into a protective layer.
• Balances and delays shock rusting.
• Prepares an ideal base for metal paint, primer, or filler materials.
• The surface turns blue-black after application, indicating that the chemical reaction is complete.
• Does not contain VOC, environmentally friendly.

• Surfaces must be free of dust, oil, dirt, paint, and wax residues.
• Heavy rust must be cleaned with wire brush, grinding, or sanding (ISO 8501-1:1988 – CSt2/DSt2 standard).
• The product can be applied with a stiff brush, roller, or spray with a nozzle diameter of 1.3-1.5 mm at 3-4 bars of pressure.
• Application temperature should be between +5°C and +35°C.
• Apply in thin layers, avoid excessive use of the product.
• Drying time is approximately 3 hours. Painting or filling can be done afterwards.

Storage Conditions:

• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight; in the original plastic packaging.
• Store at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C, protect from freezing.
• Shelf life is 3 years under suitable conditions.
